Notifications Pile Up

Ive had this app for at least a year and a half. The last few months, my "flavor alerts" do not show up in the bell tab like they use to. This in itself is not a problem, but anytime an alert comes from the app it piles up and says I have 30 notifications, then 31, etc. The little red number in the corner of the app just keeps increasing. Not a huge deal, but thought you should know. I thought this would get fixed with the most recent update, but it hasnt.
